TFG part 1 - Wrought iron

Let's see if i like writing a progress log for this playthrough in this form. it'll be very raw just basically narrating my journey
This is TerraFirmaGreg, one of the most complex modpacks that minecraft has to offer.
I've added projectE and a connector to AE2, i may end up not using it much because the modpack makes so many changes to the base game that there's almost nothing for which EMC works.
I like being able to convert some basic resources over, though i have decided not to use any form of EMC generation provided by projectE, so i'm allowed to feed a tree farm into a condenser, but no power flowers. At this point i'm mainly using it because it provides easy access to minerals like copper, bronze and cast iron, very helpful since i'm not finding much of it in the environment and i'm still scared to go mining due to cave-ins.

Before this post, i've already progressed through the stone, copper and bronze ages, and although cast iron ingots have an EMC value, wrought iron does not, so i did a major craft in the bloomery to get a full 24 raw blooms, now it's time to process them and get our wrought iron anvil

I've written some python code to help with figuring out the smithing process, it takes the last 3 steps, and the number associated with the red arrow, and spits out a sequence of moves that'll end on the red arrow with the ending sequence selected, in the case of iron blooms the sequence it found is green-yellow-orange(x2)-red(x3)-cyan(x3) for the first stage, ending at 74, then yellow(x3) - red(x4) - cyan(x3) ending at 76

TerraFirmaCraft allows you to place items on the ground, which is very helpful for planning out crafts like our wrought iron anvil, the last ingots are in the forge.

And there's our t3 anvil, and with it comes the obligation to consider create/greate... great...

But first, winter is here, so in order to avoid what little food i have left, spoiling, i'm scrambling to make some soup.

Cue me only now realizing that putting food in vessels, and closing them extends the food's shelf life.

Food, as a rule, has no EMC value (the only "food" with EMC is chorus fruit), and a stack of soups like this isn't even enough to fill the hunger bar once - it's going to be a long winter...

i went on a bit of a mining trip - moreso to get more comfortable mining in the context of collapses, and then decided i wanted a backpack - the first of many long crafting chains, fortunately a good exercise for an exciting feature i've first seen in this pack - recipe chain visualization
